Ik ben Stefan, geboren in juli '83 te Groningen, en heb altijd in de stad gewoond, of maximaal 20km daarbuiten; momenteel woon ik in het noorden van Drenthe.
Na vele jaren zeer trouw allerlei Honda Civic's en een CRX te hebben gereden, heb ik het voorjaar van 2009 de auto verkocht en de overstap gemaakt naar Nissan; en dan wel een R33 GTS25T uit augustus 1993 (dus één van de allereerste R33's), die ik zelf heb opgehaald uit de UK, naar huis gereden en zelf hier ingevoerd, deze is uitgevoerd met ABS.
De auto was bij aankoop vrijwel standaard; het enige wat er was gedaan was;
- een Apexi filtertje,
- een aftermarket downpipe en catback (dus stock elbow en cat),
- Tommy Kaira bodykit,
- Kakimoto 2-delige 17" velgen,
- FET turbo timertje,
- aftermarket stuurtje met Hicas-naaf
- Räzo pedal covers en pookknop
- mph-conversie van de originele tellerbak (wat neerkomt op een of ander component zoals een weerstandje wat in de bedrading gesoldeerd is).
En bovenal; de auto ziet er voor z'n leeftijd en afkomst goed uit (doorgaans zijn Japanners niet zuinig op hun auto's, en Britten al HELEMAAL niet) en er was een complete onderhoudshist orie bij sinds aankomst in de UK (1e EU-eigenaar, heeft 'm in 2006 geïmporteerd als trackday speeltje... eerlijke verkoper dus, precies wat je zoekt, er rijden geen oude vrouwtjes in Skylines, ook niet in Japanistan).
De auto sputterde vrij hevig bij 5000rpm, wat een kwaal is die misschien ook wel bij andere (oudere) Nissan's voorkomt; versleten coilpacks.
Heb thuis de contacten ontdaan van corrosie en de overgang van behuizing naar rubber opnieuw geseald, wat korte tijd hielp... stond in de advertentie dus had al rekening gehouden met het vervangen van de coilpacks, en dat bedrag heb ik bij aankoop kunnen afdingen.
Hieronder de speclist van de auto... alles wat NIET in het bovenstaande rijtje voorkomt, heb ik dus ZELF gemonteerd.
Zelf, want ik laat doorgaans niemand aan mijn auto sleutelen, tenzij het takkeweer is en ik geen brug/put kan regelen.
Dat houdt dus in dat als je wilt weten hoe je betrouwbaar 300pk uit een Civicje kunt halen, ik het je uit het hoofd kan vertellen... en dat ik al aardige ideeën heb opgedaan over Skyline-specifieke zaken.
Om heel eerlijk te zijn heb ik slechts interesse in de R32/R33/R34, de Z32 en de Z33... voor de rest ligt mijn hart nog altijd bij Honda.
