1st up, I speak or understand no Dutch and it's only thanks to Robert and Lawrence that I have got this far :)
As far as I know you guys will show me up, as you can all understand what I'm typing LOL (well hopefully anyways).
So it's a big hello from me!!
I'm Shaun from the Nissan Primera Owners Club (http://www.npoc.co.uk/) and I drive a 1999 Nordic P11 GTLE saloon.
Here's a few piccies of my car:

You guys have some awesome Nissan's!!
I'm pretty sure someone on here has posted the JAE 2007 NPOC video I made recently (it shows up in Youtube that people are linking in from here). Well I did another video recently to celebrate and have a look back at NPOC for 2007.
Please do have a look, you can find it here:

Hi Shaun welcome to our humble Dutch but on occasion English speaking/reading forum. Hope to hear from the UK guys some more in the future. If you have any problems reading or understanding our Dutch language just let one of us know.
Once again welcome and I really love the P11.

Welcome and you have a nice ride ;)
-
WOW.. What an awesome forum / club you guys have here! Many thanks for taking the time for the replies fellas. It's nice to see you're all so passionate about the cars.
Such a shame that us English are so ignorant to other languages (we only get to choose French / Spanish or German at school etc). I'd love to get more of the NPOC'rs on here but it's the language barrier that will put them off.
I got this far using Babelfish and Lawrence / Robert.
I'll answer the questions asked about my car :)
The gold badges were a dealer option direct from Nissan (and very pricey too!).. If you try your local Nissan dealership, you may get lucky. There is one big downside to the badges though!! Nissan for some strange reason only did the gold badge set in "Nissan Logo" (bonnet and boot) / the word "Primera" - They didn't ever make a gold "GT" badge! I did some digging around and found that the JDM badge for the Subaru Legacy GT, only available from Japan is pretty much the same size and works well. The picture of my GT badge above is indeed from a Subaru Legacy and I got it shipped over from Japan.
Yep the colour is Nissan standard and known as Nordic Blue.
The GTLE does indeed stand for Limited Edition and I know you all know the GTSE (Mystics) stands for Special Edition. Nissan released the GTLE's to celebrate their success in the BTCC in the late 90's. In the colour Nordic they released 200 hatchbacks and just 100 saloons (of which I have one)... It took me 2 years to find the car. Only differences over the normal GT's are that we got electric windows front and rear as standard, 16" multi spoke alloys, Momo gear knobs and full piped leather sport seats (as below):
My current alloys being all gold, was something I always wanted to try.. As I liked how the gold badges worked with the blue paint. On my previous alloys (18"s again), I had them painted with a gold lip and custom centre caps:
So thinking that worked OK.. I finally plucked up the courage to go for an all gold alloy 8)
My previous Primera was indeed a silver P10, someone has a good memory LOL.
Anyways, I've rambled on enough.. I just wanted to take the time as you all made me feel so welcome (so sorry for a lengthy post).
Here's hoping you guys will deffo be side by side with us JAE 2008, you'll be very welcome. It won't be long till me and the other NPOC Club Owners, will sit down and discuss the club plans and arrangements. We'll be sure to liase with you guys and make this happen!!
Take care,
Shaun

i think we have to make a english section here
mods?
so we can attract some more english or US members
since i saw yourre topic on NPOC i was searching for the subaru GT badge :)
but i will keep it clean
to bad i cant make it at the JAE :(
-
I was just looking at some of my old piccies for the GT old and GT new badge.
As I mentioned above, Nissan never made the gold GT badge, so the silver one I had on the car was spray painted gold like so:
Then after I got the Scoob Leggy badge, it looks like this (please excuse the low quality mobile phone pics):

isn't there a way you can make it goldplated??
i like to have gold badges to on mij patrol. there f&*^%$ing nice ;)
-
try ebay
many type's of badges there
-
In the Japanese Hyer REv Magazine you can see pitctures of the celebration of winning the BTCC.
There you can see problably the first GTLE driving around the circuit with the BTCC drivers in it.
Unfortunatly I don;t have a scanner, other wise I would post a copy of it.
Funny to discover Nissan made so much different limited styles of the Primera GT....
-
yep some country's have special models named after touringcarsucc esses
germany: STW model
norway:STCC
New zealand:SMX
UK:GTLSE
and maybe some more models
-

+1
-
Goldplated GT logos look nice on the car, as do the gold wheelcaps :D
-
A couple of years ago i visited NPOC almost on a daily basis, therefore i remembered your search and the P10 you drove!!
There's no language problem, as long as both side's understands what is writen here!
grtz Lucas
-
Or else the people who con't understand it can ask other members.
-
Nice pics, Shaun O0
Talking about JAE; we are receiving donations from our clubmembers for buying a big-ass tent which we can use in the UK. It's important that you can sit dry when BBQ'ing and drinking beer!
Don't if you guys have something like that, if we hook those things together we can definately be the main attraction on the event ;D
-
very nice car.
only a gay colour ;)
no i am just kidding.
welcome here!
-
only a gay colour ;)
Hehehehehe.. No matter which forum I'm on, I can't ge away from the gay car comments LOL
Many thanks for the welcome and whilst you're here.. How comes you mention your car is a GTSE? The GTSE's were only ever Mystic's (Chromaflair) etc?
Cheers,
Shaun
-
i dunno
on papers stands that it is a GTSE,
and a normal GT dosn't have a wipper on the back window and have got one.
but it's the model from 97' and earlyer.
greetz kevin
ps. the color of your car is the same as the original color of my front bumper, you can see that in my topic.
-
Hey shaun most welcome,
The color takes getting used to i think, nice ride mate, love the rims.
greetings
Peter
-
Today I saw a belgium p11-144 with just the same color of your primera.
It looks very nice I must say :)
-
Hi Shaun, great to see more Brits on the NCN forum ;D
finally some of the UK's Primmie lovers are making their way across to Holland O0
I've seen your colour over here twice so far (both were Primera Estate's....) one was definately dutch reg.
If you (or other NPOC guys) have any translation questions don't hesitate to ask, -I'm fully bilingual O0
If you have enough patience I could translate topic sections for you as well.
BTW you could add a web page link as a signature if you fill in your profile page on NCN, dunno if it's possible to link staight to your NPOC section..??
Cya,
McGuiver

Nice car dude O0

-
Hi guys and gals, many thanks for the warm welcome and hello's :)
Here's a video I have knocked up, showing my Nordic Nissan Primera GTLE in various stages. It contains some quarter mile action too.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6C05oACZ-A
Being Admin and a club owner of another online club etc.. I hate it when I get asked the following question LOL, so it's asked with respect and good intent... Why do your forums keep going down / offline? Anything I can help with?
Cheers and take care,
Shaun
-
Nice video of a nice car. O0
-
Nice ride Shaun :) Cool vid.
About the forum: we had a little database crash unfortunately. Luckily only topics + posts from last sunday were lost. Backups ftw :P
I've looked at the JAE discussion @ Japcarclub.com: doesn't look good does it?
-
Welcome, very nice car, funny color O0
-
very sweet
-
I've looked at the JAE discussion @ Japcarclub.com: doesn't look good does it?
Agreed.. It's pretty messed up, hopefully they'll be announcing something by the end of the week though :)
-
Maybe its a nice idea to invite our English frends to Holland and have a meeting at Rica (Powertesting facilities) to compare some English primera's with some Dutch primera's?
Looks fun to me, NPOC meets NCN
-
that's a nice idea Dick
-
Dynomeet at Rica's: why not...
-
Count me in!
-
first see if they boys at the other side of the channel will like this idea
i dont think they will come here for just 1 day?
will cost a lot
just like us going to JAE
maybe combine it with JAF?
just an idea

Good idea mr zap. And dyno count me in i have to test my primera
-
How about this, if we want to combine the 2 clubs in 1 meet and reduce the cost to a minimum or acceptabel rate if JAE wil happen.
I will try to explain in propper english so the npoc members can understand.
JAE = Japanse auto/automobile extravagansa at the UK
The day or days before JAE we have our english friends come over and go to rica for a powercomparing meet between the 2 clubs or something like that. The day after we ride whit these gents to England/UK and have a jolly good time whit them at JAE. That way the clubs will meet at both sides and it's not a 1 way direction. This is the basic idea, so the costs will be on both sides and time spended is 100% satisfaction.
greetings
Peter
-
Let's wait till we have more info 'bout JAE first :)
-
like i said MasterPeanut if JAE wil happen, it's a thougt/ idea of how we maybe can combine the 2 clubs in 1 meet and bring cost to acceptabel rate, till that time we wait and if we have more intel, then we can discus it. :)
-
and this is why we need a english section
now where chatting in his topic :)
-
Welcome here! And a very nice car you have. And a meet is a very nice idea.
